Lisa Roettger writes for Christians wanting to grow in their faith and in their Christian walk through the transformative power of Scripture. Her writing is an invitation to dive deep into the Bible and emerge with a clearer understanding of what God is saying to us.
Lisa’s own training in Bible study began with Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship, increased at Moody Bible Institute, and continued through the teachings of many godly men and women. Her fifty years with Wycliffe Bible Translators, serving alongside her husband, stand as a testament to her conviction that the Bible is a necessary guide for Christians who want to know their God more and show their God more as they daily live life.
Eager to make Bible study accessible to every Christian, she leads and participates in Bible studies, blogs, and is writing a book to introduce believers to studying the Bible on their own. Her monthly newsletter, Looking In & Living Out God's Word, keeps followers up to date and invites them to look in and live out the teachings in a particular Bible passage. Her writing has been described as relatable and down-to-earth, which she attributes to years of learning to fit in wherever God led her, even when fitting in meant learning to eat grub worms and beetles instead of potato chips. (Though potato chips are still her preferred snack.)
Lisa invites you to join her in this deeper study of God’s Word and into a closer walk with Him and for Him.
